Nashville Scholars is an ever evolving group. We started back in 1979 with just a handful of interested people. We still have Charter Members in the group.

But we've grown to be international, mostly by way of the world wide web. We welcome newcomers each month, some very knowledgeable Sherlockians, some just now discovering the joy of Holmes and the Victorian Era.

This section of the web site will attempt to introduce you to various members of our family of devoted Sherlockians. Some live in Nashville, many do not. But they are as close as their computer, and we converse with each other probably more often than we do with our physical neighbors next door.

Marino Alvarez

One of our local Scholars, Professor Alvarez
is an educator working in new learning designs.
Clicking on his name will take you to his
most interesting page on some of the
work he's involved in with students.

Fred Porlock

No one is sure what Porlock does,
but he lives somewhere in Canada.

That's all I can tell you until things blow over...
He has a "real name", but they are still looking
for him, and I promised not to tell.

Clicking on his name will bring you to
one of the most "singular sites" on the WWW.

Charles Prepolec

Another of our literary-minded Canadians,
Mr. Prepolec specializes in the pastiche. Not sure what a pastiche is? Click his name for the answer.
And while you're reading about Charles do not miss his singularly superb web site: Baker Street Dozen
